MISSIONS Typically the third Sunday of each month we update the church on different ministries we have partnered with locally and globally for missions. This is a great time to learn about what God is doing around the world!

ABOUT US

  • OUR MISSION Following Jesus & Reaching Out

  • OUR VISION

    • We SEE a church that is the expression of Jesus’ body that is called to be the physical presence of Him in the world

    • We SEE a church where each person encounters Jesus and each one understands their role in serving Jesus as The Church

    • We SEE a church dedicated to training and discipling all people to train and disciple all

    • We SEE a church reaching around the globe by sending missionaries and training leaders.

  • OUR HISTORY

    • Sangamon Valley Christian Center began in October of 1980 with a handful of families under the leadership of Pastor Brent and Judy Roberson. Their desire was to plant a Spirit-filled church in Mahomet. After holding their first year of services in the Community Center they began meeting in a large garage at “The Green House” on Spring Lake Road. By 1984 they had purchased a facility on Washington Street, which still serves as our church gathering place today.

The desire of Pastor Brent and Judy to be a Spirit-filled family church for the community was birthed and it continues today under the leadership of Pastor Caleb and Andrea Ingrum. Come gather with our church family as we follow Jesus and reach out in the power of the Spirit of God.
